Getting Organized With Wardrobe Storage Boxes

Wardrobe Storage Boxes

You might have heard of wardrobe storage boxes before from your friends and family.  Heck, you might have even used them in a recent move.  If you have any experience with these boxes at all, you know they are some of the easiest and handiest boxes you’ll ever come across.  What you may not have thought of yet, is just how easy it would be to organize a messy closet with wardrobe boxes.

Quality Wardrobe Boxes

First things first, everything you read here is based on the assumption you are planning to utilize wardrobe storage boxes of high quality.  Not only will storage ideas probably not work with used or low quality wardrobe boxes, but you might not even be able to pull off an average move with them.  People are so often lulled into the idea of a “great deal” on cheap boxes that they forget the importance of durability.  Having a box collapse is a bad day no matter if you’re moving or looking for long-term storage options.

Wardrobe Storage Boxes

The word “storage” is not always associated with wardrobe boxes, since it implies a longer-term use than most people are accustomed to.  Well, as we addressed earlier, wardrobe storage boxes would in fact be perfect for just such a use.  Consider the wildly unorganized closet in the picture above.  The look on the woman’s face is obviously not a happy one.  But, imagine how much happier she would be if all the off-season clothing she own were simply tucked away in a durable wardrobe box.  Here, they’ll sit quietly until the seasons change and they’re ready to be rotated into the closet once more.

Easy Accessibility

You may think this whole wardrobe box idea is sounding pretty good right about now.  But wait, there’s more!  Ok, maybe that sounded a little too infomercialish, but the truth is, wardrobe storage boxes not only offer you safe and dependable long-term storage of whatever clothing you don’t need to see for a few months, but they also provide you with easy accessibility.  Those of us in the northern states know a thing or two about putting away the long sleeves and jeans too early.  If you were to make the same mistake with your clothes, these boxes make it easy to correct your error and switch everything back.  With a heavy duty hanging bar and an easy open top, you should be able to easily get at your clothes whenever you need them.

Tame the clutter monster in your closet with a few wardrobe storage boxes.  You’ll be happy you did.

Wardrobe Boxes – Moving Tips

Wardrobe Boxes Moving

During the hustle and bustle of moving day, it can seem like good ideas are hard to come by.  You’ve got all the moving boxes and supplies you could possibly need, but it’s tough to plan out the best way to go about using them efficiently.  The same can be said about wardrobe boxes.  Sure, you’ve made the important first step of acknowledging the usefulness of wardrobe boxes but, like any other tool, you have to know how to use them…

Portable Closets

Wardrobe boxes are much more than simply moving boxes shaped in a way to hold your closet contents.  It is undeniably easy to reach into your closet, grab all the hanging clothes you can manage, and simply turn around to place them into your wardrobe boxes.  So why not get it done ahead of time?  You know there are more than just a few outfits that you won’t be wearing before moving day.  Get those into a wardrobe box now and save yourself some time and stress as your move approaches.

Store More?

Just like your actual closet, it may be tempting to add more and more items to your wardrobe boxes during moving.  While these boxes are strong and durable, keep in mind that it’s up to you or your movers to lift them all.  Just like any large moving boxes, it’s important to remember to not load them down.  Make no mistake about it, wardrobe boxes can easily move your hanging clothes, but your back may not appreciate it when you add your shoes, photo albums, or bowling ball collection.

In It For the Long Haul

What’s the worst part about arriving at your new place?  Most people would probably say unpacking all the boxes.  Lucky for you, if you pack your wardrobe boxes right, some won’t have to be unpacked right away.  We’ve talked before about sorting your clothes if you plan on using multiple wardrobe boxes.  This can help not only with organization, but can also allow you to store some clothes long-term.

Coming Out of the Closet

One of the most overlooked aspects of a typical moving day is the packing and transport of clothing and other items from your closet.  Nothing will eat up time during your moving day or space in your boxes like a seemingly endless supply of clothing.  Your stockpile of moving boxes can quickly be overwhelmed by your clothes, which always seem to take up more space than expected.  Failing to properly plan for this element of your move is sure to increase your stress and headaches come moving day.

The Right Tool for the Job

Wardrobe storage boxes are specifically designed for easy packing, transport, and even long-term storage of your closet contents.  These boxes are strong and durable, with a heavy-duty hanger bar.  You simply lift your hanging clothes from your closet, then hang them directly in the box and forget about it.  Such an easy and reliable system is sure to decrease your stress on moving day and allow you to get more done with the moving time you planned out.

Three Things to do With Wardrobe Boxes

Wardrobe Boxes

So, you’ve made your peace with purchasing a few wardrobe boxes for your upcoming move.  That’s an important first step, and you’ll be thanking yourself for it when you see how easy it is to pack up and safely move our closet clothes.  There are a variety of tips for using wardrobe boxes, most of which are personal preference and are learned from experience.  There are a few key tips that will help make your use of the wardrobe boxes more enjoyable, three of which are listed here…

1. Early and Often

Now that you’ve got your wardrobe boxes, hopefully you’ve got at least a little bit of time before your move.  If so, don’t just sit there, start loading those boxes.  Remember, there’re plenty of outfits in your closet that you won’t even wear before your move.  Start with those.  If you’re using multiple wardrobe boxes, be sure to label them clearly so they can be delivered into the correct bedroom when you arrive.  Remember, clothes are often disregarded during the planning of a move, but they can take a significant portion of time and energy during packing.  You can minimize this by getting a jump on things with your new wardrobe boxes.

2. Don’t Overpack

High quality wardrobe boxes are durable and strong, so I’m not worried about them.  The overpacking warning is more for you and your movers.  Remember, you have to transport these boxes from your house to the truck and back into your new house.  Stairs obviously complicate the issue.  Overloaded wardrobe boxes can be a hazard for those carrying them, as well as to the rest of your items on a bumpy ride in the moving van.  Do yourself a favor by rounding up to the next wardrobe box when you’re in doubt.

3. Use Them Post-Move

Just because your move is over doesn’t mean your wardrobe boxes have finished their duties.  Now that you’ve gotten a fresh look at the total contents of your closet, maybe you’ve spied a few outfits that are past their prime…come on, be honest.  How about loading up a wardrobe box for a garage sale or a quick trip to the local Goodwill (be sure to keep the box).  Or maybe you just have too much in your closet and you’d like to temporarily store some seasonal outfits elsewhere.  Wardrobe boxes are plenty durable for long-term storage and offer convenient access to your clothing when the need arises.

You’ve taken the important step of outfitting yourself with some wardrobe boxes for your move, now make sure to use them to their fullest.

Wardrobe Moving Boxes for the Whole Family

Wardrobe Moving Boxes

You may have heard of wardrobe moving boxes and you’re wondering who they’re really meant for.  Sure, they make a move easier, but who really needs those?  Believe it or not, the whole family could easily benefit from their own wardrobe moving box, with or without an upcoming move…

Parents

Maybe you’re not old enough to have any leisure suits or bell bottoms stashed away in your closet, but chance are you have a few outfits that are ready to be permanently shipped out.  If you’re getting some clothing ready for a garage sale, wardrobe moving boxes can be a huge help.  Not only do they securely store a lot of clothing, but they are a natural display case for the day of the sale.  Or, if you do have a move coming up, boxing up some clothes ahead of time is a great way to get a jump on things.  If you know your move will be done before winter, pack up your sweaters and long pants.  Believe me, you will be thanking yourself as your moving day approaches and you already have some things packed away.

Daughters

If your daughter is into clothes, wardrobe boxes can seem like a little slice of heaven.  Maybe her closet is so jam packed no one can remember the color of the back wall.  If that’s the case, consider using a wardrobe box (or ten) to temporarily store a season’s worth of outfits that she won’t need for several months.  And, should freak weather hit, those fashions are easily accessible in your convenient and durable wardrobe moving box.  Not only that, but styles come and go, so she may wind up with some other outfits that are ready for permanent removal and can join the others in the garage sale wardrobe box.

Sons

All of the items listed for daughters could certainly apply to the fashion-conscious son.  And, the items listed below could easily apply to a sports-minded daughter.  Either way, imagine the die hard sports fan in your household after a devastating season-ending loss.  Maybe they’re the type to go over the top and just not want to see their favorite team’s logo for a few months.  If so, then wardrobe moving boxes to the rescue.  Or, maybe they’re like so many other sons around the world and they seem to be growing taller by the day.  Rather than continuing to store outgrown clothing in their closets, why not make one more contribution to the garage sale wardrobe box.

It’s pretty easy to see the usefulness of wardrobe moving boxes, both for an upcoming move and for simple daily life.  Whether you’re planning a move or just looking for a little more closet space, do yourself a favor and pick up a few durable, convenient wardrobe moving boxes.

How My Being OC Helped Our Move

Packing Tips

Packing Tips

I am extremely OC (Obsessive compulsive). I want everything in order, detailed, and I don’t even want my toys moved. I know at what angle I left them and I will notice the slightest change if somebody moved them. And I don’t like people touching the windows of my car, I hate those stubborn hand prints.

I know… it’s pretty bad and some of my friends think that I’m sick or something, and I know that I get in their nerves one way or another, but what can I do? That’s me.

Anyway, I’m not supposed to talk about my bad habits here so I’ll move on. We recently moved to a beautiful house, one that I had built in great detail, and I must say that my being OC was the key to our successful move. I read tons of moving and packing tips and being the good (OC) person that I am, I made them like a bible and followed all the intelligent advices to the letter.

The hardest thing to do, at least for me, when getting ready to move is packing. Just looking at everything that needs to be packed will make you cry. But it has to be done so here’s a very good thing to do. Before touching anything, draw up a plan on how you’ll go about packing. Decide on which items you’ll pack first and make a checklist. Get rid of items that you don’t use as they’ll just use up precious space. Once you have a plan, start packing.

It is also wise to label the boxes. Make the labels big and colorful if you can. What I did is color code all the boxes so I can easily distinguish which goes where. The kitchen boxes were marked green, bedroom boxes were marked red, blue, and yellow since there are 3 of us in the family, living room boxes were marked orange, and so on… I know you get what I mean. This made organizing a breeze when we arrived at the new house.

I’m not saying that you become obsessive compulsive but being organized and detail oriented sure helps when moving. You can read all packing tips and tricks that you find but they’ll be useless if you don’t have the discipline to implement them. So if you’re planning on moving, take the packing tips that you just read to heart and start implementing them. It made me love moving. I think I wanna move again. Yeah, I’ll probably move so I can pack again. :)

Tips in Packing Wardrobe Moving Boxes

wardrobe moving boxes

wardrobe moving boxes

My two thumbs up to whoever invented wardrobe moving boxes. Packing and moving is stressful enough but the thought of having to unpack wrinkled clothes is even more stressful. Imagine having to iron your entire wardrobe, it will take you days before you can arrange everything in your closet. That is what wardrobe moving boxes is saving us from, days and days of ironing after a successful move.

There are different sizes of wardrobe moving boxes but I recommend purchasing the 24X24X40 one since it’s a little bit bigger than most conventional boxes. You’ll be able to fit more clothes into it thus giving you less things to worry about after you move.

Here are a few tips when packing your wardrobe.

First you’ll have to determine which clothes you want to take with you. For sure you’ll have clothes in your closet that haven’t seen the light of day for about a year or two. If you still plan to use them then pack them up, but if not it is better to either sell them at a garage sale or donate them to charity.

Once you’ve identified the clothes that you want to take with you, it is time to determine the number of wardrobe moving boxes you’ll need. Depending on what type of clothes you’ll hang, you can probably fit 15 or more clothes in one wardrobe moving box. Do not over stuff the box since it will cause wrinkles and it will beat the purpose of the box.

Wardrobe moving boxes are received flat and unassembled so you’ll have to work a little and assemble it. Make sure to tape the bottom of the box and fix the metal bar securely in place. Don’t worry there will be instructions on how to assemble the box . And as an added protection against moisture, tape off the outer edges of the wardrobe box.

A lot of people don’t know what to do with their boxes after a move, that shouldn’t be a problem since you can always give it away or continue to use them as storage boxes in your garage or basement; just make sure to reinforce the box by putting tape around it.

Packing Dresses – How to Do it the Right Way

packing dresses

So now that you finally found your dream house and you’re getting ready to move in, it is time to face one of the most difficult parts of moving…PACKING. Though the thought of moving to your dream house is exciting, the process could still be very stressful if you are clueless of what to do. First time movers usually go through a stressful phase when planning the move.

One of the critical things to pack are dresses, when packing dresses you have to make sure that they don’t get ruined and wrinkles are minimized. Wrinkles are unavoidable; I have yet to see somebody who managed to pack a dress and moved it without getting wrinkled.

Get a large box and pack dresses together – Preferably a box where you only have to fold the dresses (women’s dresses) in half, this will minimize the wrinkles. The number of dresses you’d want to pack in one box depends on you. Of course the more you fit in one box, the more wrinkles the dresses will get.

Make sure dress shirts are pressed before packing – This goes for men’s dress shirts, before packing you’d want them to be neatly pressed and folded. Folds should be kept to a minimum to avoid creases. And when packing, use larger items like pants to line the bottom before putting in your dress shirts. And make sure not to over stuff your luggage as your clothes will press together and leave deep creases.

Put your dress box or luggage on top of the stack – You don’t want pressure over it since the box could crumple if stacked under heavier boxes. I know this is common sense but it is very easy to overlook this when moving so make sure that your box is properly labeled.

Dresses are expensive and are a little fragile so you’d want to take good care of them especially during a move. Again, wrinkles may be unavoidable but lessening them is definitely doable.

Where Can I find the Cheapest Wardrobe Boxes?

cheap wardrobe boxesWardrobe boxes are used to store and organize your clothes and garments in the wardrobe. These boxes come in handy while packing and moving or while relocating. You can tuck in the contents of your wardrobe in these sturdy wardrobe boxes and the contents will be safe and sound at the destination. Then you can unload and unpack these boxes and fill your wardrobe again.

The advantage of using wardrobe boxes is that you will not lose any item in your wardrobe during this process and all the items are cared for in the best manner possible. Items in the wardrobe are kept neatly organized when you use wardrobe boxes for storage, packing and moving. The wardrobe boxes act as a safe repository for your wardrobe items so these items can be kept intact during transfer to your destination.

It would be a good idea to mark or label the wardrobe boxes with a list of the contents of each box. The labels may read like ‘night gowns’, ‘shirts’ etc. for easy reference. Having a checklist of the contents in each box taped on to the side of a wardrobe box is also a good idea.

Wardrobe boxes help you thoroughly organize and de-clutter your workspace as you prepare for moving and at your final destination. They are easier on the eyes for identification when you use wardrobe boxes of different sizes for different purposes. Not all wardrobe boxes need to look the same, you can order wardrobe boxes to fit different spaces, sizes and shapes.

Rather than use any ordinary cardboard box for storing your garments and items of clothing, it is better to use specially-suited wardrobe boxes made available for the purpose. Wardrobe boxes are available cheap these days from wardrobeboxes.com. They are durable and strong to hold garments which you may want stored and transported to your new home.

If you have designer clothes then you can get special wardrobe boxes that have rods in them to store delicate pieces of clothing. It is also a good idea to separate seasonal pieces of clothing into their own wardrobe boxes.

Wardrobe boxes come in handy during relocation. They are built to last long and are sturdy and durable. In contrast, ordinary cardboard boxes are not that strong, they are fragile and may fall apart soon during handling and moving. That is why it is always advisable to get special-purpose moving boxes as wardrobe boxes.

Wardrobe Boxes- The Toughest Moving Box

strongmovingbox

One of the biggest complaints and worries people have when they get ready to move is about what sort of boxes they will end up using. Many people do not want to have to pay for boxes and if so they worry about whether or not they will be sturdy enough and tough enough for the travels as well as to hold their items. In this case getting some wardrobe boxes would be beneficial. Wardrobe boxes are the toughest, most durable of boxes and can handle any move whether it be local or across the world. Here is a look at why wardrobe boxes are the first choice amongst people who are looking for the toughest moving box.

The first reason they are the number one choice amongst movers is because of how durable they are. They are made out of the strongest cardboard and while they are perfect for moving, many people continue to use them as storage boxes even after the move is complete. Unlike other boxes that get weak and break over time, these can really withstand the test of time and keep your possessions safe and sound.

Secondly these are very popular because of their unique shape. They make moving easier because one can easily open them up, get out their clothes and put them in their new closet without any hassles. They also help keep your clothing looking good and unwrinkled whereas in other boxes clothing items have to get folded several times and it can be difficult getting the boxes open and then shut back up again. Because these boxes have their very own special bar you get to hang your clothes up on you will not have to worry about them getting ruined.

Last but certainly not least as mentioned above they can be re-used. Besides being perfect for storing seasonal clothes or clothes that your kids have not yet grown into yet they can be used for a number of different options. Many people use them when having yard sales or tag sales. They are an easy choice to put items in or hang up clothes that they want to sell. Instead of having to go through the process of folding the clothes and laying them out for people to browse through and in the process make another mess you can simply hang the clothing items up by a hanger and let shoppers look at them this way. With so many benefits it is easy to see why movers pick wardrobe boxes over any other box as the toughest moving box.
